Carl Hiaasen’s message in Lucky You is echoed in this American paper that describes the sad state of racism and ignorance in the U.S ahead of the presidential election
August 11th, 2008
I am a white man 52 years of age, member of IBEW LOCAL 357 LAS
VEGAS NV.From talking to some of my co-workers and friends I am
coming to believe that race will be the downfall of OBAMA’S chances of
becoming president. The white working class is not going to vote for a
black man. This is a sad fact, there are just too many racist rednecks
out there.I’m talking real world here folks,I know a lot of us want to
believe that this country is not racist and that we have came along
ways on civil rights but the sad truth is we still have a lot of white
working class people that will vote republican before they will vote for
a black man….
For OBAMA to win this election he MUST carry these white working
class voters! Lets face it most poor people do not vote, Don’t count on
the hispanic vote, illegal aliens don’t vote! White working class people
vote and they will decide who wins this election.

The only core voter groups that seem to be carrying Barack Obama are
African Americans and young college groups along with the quiche and
white wine drinkers and lattes lefties elitists within the Democratic
Party. Actually his campaign has been on the wrong track from the
beginning with inadequacies. Like wanting to grant drivers licenses for
illegal aliens … Also fallout from Barack Obama’s pastor the Reverend
Jeremiah Wright anti-white, anti-American, anti-rich hate preaching’s
from his pulpit and the Barack Obama arrogant “small town bitter
comments” that rural Pennsylvanians cling to guns and religion and
that they are anti-immigrant and anti-trade because they are angry and
bitter. Barack Obama’s ties to a known American bomber and terrorist
in Bill Ayers didn’t help him much either. ….. Pennsylvania showed
that Barack Obama has a total disconnect among white voters,
especially the predominant Catholic and Reagan Democrats, the blue
collar and working man. ….. Barack Obama is the most leftwing of all
senators in the US senate. I consider him our American version of
Venezuela’s left wing radical Hugo Chavez.

For many poor Whites, a Black President would shatter the myth of
superiority – the belief that they rate higher on some imaginary social
hierarchy than people of color on the basis of their whiteness.
Throughout America’s history, poor white people could take comfort in
the knowledge that their President, like them, was White, and by virtue
of his Whiteness, could understand them and relate to them, despite
the usually formidable differences in income and wealth. With Obama
in the White House, poor Whites would join the rest of the
disenfranchised poor in believing that their President doesn’t
understand them, can’t relate to them, and, for the skeptically inclined,
doesn’t care about them. I’m not saying Obama wouldn’t understand,
relate, or care. To the contrary, I believe he’d do all three better than
most of his predecessors. But this would be the common perception
among the White poor.

KENTUCKY - USA - Imperial Wizard, Ronald Edwards has stated that,
“anything is better than Hillary Clinton.”
White Christian Supremacist group the Ku Klux Klan has endorsed
Barack Obama to be the next President of the United States of America.
Speaking from his Kentucky office in Dawson Springs, the Imperial
Wizard exclaimed that anything or anyone is better than having that
“crazy ass bitch” as President.
This is the first time in Klan history that any member of the KKK has
ever publicly supported an African American candidate for the
presidency.
KKK lodges all over America have been gathering and holding rallies
supporting the black presidential candidate.
KKK members in Tennessee rally against Hillary Clinton and support
Barack Obama
Grand Turk Cletus Monroe has also been very vocal about the election
and has donated thousands of dollars to Obama’s election fund.
“The boy’s gonna do it. My Klan group has donated up to $250,000 to
the Obama fund. Anything is better than Hillary Clinton. Hell I’ll even
adopt a black kid from Africa before I vote for Hillary.”
“A few years back we were lynching negroes. Now we’re gonna vote for
one to be president of the US of motherfu**ing A, damn it! Anyone or
anything is better than Hillary Clinton - anything!!”
Placards for Barack Obama have been put up around the Klan’s
Headquarters and the KKK have announced a television ad campaign to
support the African American candidate.

Obama is a racist, yes, but … Race is just the vehicle to push his
Communism.
As you look at your middle class children and sit in you middle class
home and drive your middle class car, know that this is what Obama
and his evil companions despise. They hate you and your middle
classness because only the very poor are willing to transfer their
freedom to them for a bowl of meat. Poverty is what ignited the
Bolshevick Revolution and even the New Deal. Obama would love
nothing more than to destroy the middle class of America and to make
them rely on him and his government. Individualism and liberty are the
enemy of Obama and Democrats in general, he is just different
packaging.
We can never be apologetic of our middle classness and even our
desire to achieve the riches Obama and his Pastor enjoy.
Environmentalism and Black Liberation theology are just tentacles of
the larger threat.

Out here the gravity of discontent pulls in only one direction - to the
right, to the right, further to the right. Strip today’s Kansans of their
job security, and they head out to become registered Republicans. Push
them off their land, and next thing you know, they’re protesting in
front of abortion clinics. squander their life savings on manicures for
the CEO, and there’s a good chance they’ll join the John Birch Society.
But ask them about the remedies their ancestors proposed (unions,
antitrust, public ownership) and you might as well be referring to the
days when knighthood was in flower.

of the Al Gore presidency and the common people lie prostrate beneath
the iron heel of liberalism … a vision of a hideous future in which all
the elements of the conservative persecution fantasy have flowered….
The government has forced Rush Limbaugh off the airwaves, Supreme
Court Justice Antonin Scalia has been assassinated, and SUVs are no
longer manufactured. Runaway trial lawyers have destroyed the tobacco
industry, and the wineries are next. Laws against ‘hate crimes’ are
being used to punish ordinary speech, motorcycle riders have to wear
helmets, as do Amish factory workers, and jack-booted federal thugs
dispense stiff jail sentences to patriotic Americans…”

By spinning his lurid fantasies of victimhood, (John D. Altevogt) makes
a valuable contribution to the conservative cause, providing its
followers with a basic therapeutic good. Understanding themselves as
victims besieged by a hateful world absolves conservatives of
responsibility for what goes on around them. It excuses them for their
failures; it justifies the most irresponsible rages; and it allows them, in
both politics and private life, to resolve disputes by pointing their
fingers at the outside world and blaming it all on a depraved liberal
elite…

“The Muslims just hate us for our love of freedom,” said a woman from
Iowa wearing a cloth elephant on her head, “they don’t have any culture
and they hate us for having a great one. And they hate the Bible.”
“Really?” I said, “The Iraquis had a culture for 1000s of years before
Jesus was born.”
“What are you saying?”
“I’m saying Muslims were building temples when New York was a
swamp.”
“You support the Iraqis?”
“NO.”
“You support the killing of innocent people going to work - people
who have to jump out of windows?”
“You aren’t listening to me.”
“No Buddy. You ain’t listening. These people you support are trying to
kill our children in their beds. Where you from anyway? The New York
Times?”
… The Iowa woman’s mention of the New York Times reminds me how
convinced the Republicans are of a Liberal conspiracy.

Laquan Joyner and her husband, Theo Grimes, said they have been
praying and asking God to send them a sign.
When they looked in the shower, right next to the shampoo, there it
was, an image of Jesus Christ.
The family said they will never clean the spot and they now treat the
shower like a shrine.
“I was like, ‘Yeah, a real live image of Jesus is in the shower,’” Joyner
said. “I couldn’t believe, it either. But it’s there. And my grandmother
came, and she saw it and said, ‘I’ve seen everything.’”

A Bensalem, Pa., furniture maker says he’s found a holy item and he’s
been taking care of it religiously. Craig O’Connor has a block of wood
that he chopped from a pine tree. On it, is an image of a Jesus-like
figure with its arms outstretched. The tree rings form a kind of halo
around the figure’s head…. This isn’t the first time an image of a holy
figure has been found. In the past, images of Jesus or the Virgin Mary
have come in many forms, including a grilled cheese sandwich which
sold for $28,000, a grease stain in a pizza pan and a fish stick.
MyFox Colorado. February 2008
A stain under a highway bridge that had drawn hundreds of faithful
who thought it resembled the Virgin Mary was painted over by a road
crew on Friday after a vandal defaced the image. Chicago police said
they charged a 37-year-old man with damage to state property after he
used black shoe polish to paint “big lie” on the yellow and white stain
which had become the site of an impromptu shrine for the past three
weeks. Some wept as a coat of brown paint was rolled over the stain on
a wall next to a sidewalk where candles, flowers, pictures and other
mementos had been placed.
Engineers had said the stain was most likely caused by a water leak
from the road above, mixed with salt that had been used on the
highway during the winter. Police did not say what the man’s motive
might have been in defacing the image.

The essential feature of Credulous Personality Disorder is a pattern of
pervasive and excessive gullibility that causes the individual to accept
without question claims unsupported by any credible evidence
(including but not limited to claims involving health and health-related
products, unconscious motivations, advertised products and services,
extraterrestrial beings, get-rich-quick schemes, psychotherapeutic
interventions, and/or the supernatural). This pattern begins by early
adulthood and is present in a variety of contexts.
Individuals with Credulous Personality Disorder have a marked
tendency to be easily convinced by evidence of poor quality, or even by
no evidence at all, as long as the knowledge claim fits easily into the
individual’s irrational worldview and is made by a person of authority
(e.g., a guest on an all-night radio call-in show; a self-confident
telemarketer with a British accent; a celebrity interviewee on Larry King
or a reporter for an entertainment magazine; a “therapist” on Sally Jesse
Raphael; an actor playing a doctor in a television commercial; an author
of a book promoted by Oprah Winfrey; a “being” who claims to be from
another planet or another dimension who channels through their nextdoor
neighbor; anyone claiming to speak with the dead, nonverbal
animals, or omniscient entities from another plane of existence).

PhysioProf is not real up on the controversy surrounding the movie
Expelled, but apparently it is some absurd piece of right-wing Jeebusfreak
dreck about how the theory of evolution SUXX0RS!!!11! and how
horrible “evolutionists” are suppressing the BEST SCHOLARS
EVAH!!!!11!11 from the “Intelligent Design” community (which as far as
I can tell is just a Potemkin village from which right-wing theocratic
beserkers can peddle their ridiculous Jeebus tales to credulous
drooling moron right-wing authoritarian followers).
Anyhoo, the name of the movie, Expelled, is supposed to be a reference
to how these totally fucking awesome Jeebus-freak “scholars” have
been “expelled” from the regular scientific community by nasty
“evolutionists”, despite their brilliant insights into some goofy
wacked-out Jeebus-freak crapola, and that it is TOTALLY UNFAIR that
they have been expelled because their loonie-tune nonsense does not
suit “evolutionist” dogma and is unpopular. So the basic idea is that it
is TERRIBLE and HORRIBLE and EVIL for people with unpopular views to
be expelled from any particular realm of intellectual discourse.
Well, massive overwhelmingly enormous gigunda swinging-dick
atheist “evolutionist” blogger PZ Myers went to see Expelled, and guess
what happened. The ridiculous demented right-wing wackaloon
theocratic douchemonkeys expelled Myers from the movie! And not
only did they expel him, they got the fucking cops to do it for them. (If
PhysioProf weren’t such a judicious fair-minded commentator who
eschews extreme characterizations, he might have even considered this
to smell just a little bit, shall we say, of FASCISM.)
